ORANGE CITY, Iowa -- The people of Maine have spoken decisively.
Marriage can only be properly defined as the union of a man and
a woman.
What would happen if the citizens of Iowa were to vote on this
issue? The answer is obvious: the arbitrary ruling of the Iowa
Supreme Court would be overwhelmingly repealed.
Our government was intentionally formed to be of the people, by
the people and for the people; not of the judges, by the judges,
and for the judges. It is high time to replace judges who are
despotic with those who will not confuse the judicial and
legistative branches of government. Let's make certain that the
next governor of Iowa will have the courage not to cave in to a
very small but vocal percentage of our population.
We who believe that marriage is the union of a man and a woman
are not haters of homosexual persons; nor are we homophobic. We
simply believe that homosexual behavior is contrary to the
complimentary design of the human body.
If two of the same gender choose to cohabit, that is their
decision, but for the sake of obvious common sense let's not
call that marriage. Marriage implies the ability to reproduce,
and that will never happen with two of the same gender. -- C.
